Bar-K Horse Owners Agreement
The Bar-K Stables are only available to members of the Bar-K Association.
The Bar-K Stables are a rustic, self-care horse facility and horse owners are required to care for their own horse. ______ Initials
There is no water or electricity on-site. ______ Initials
Use of the stables is at your own risk. ______ Initials
You are financially responsible for your horse. ______ Initials
Failure to follow the general rules will result in the board of directors reviewing your association membership privileges. ______ Initials
If your membership is suspended, you are required to remove any livestock from the premises within 72 hours. ______ Initials
As a horse owner, you are automatically a member of the Stable Committee. As such, you will be expected to take part in meetings and work projects, (e.g., fence repair, stables/pasture maintenance). ______ Initials
RULES
Horses overwintered at the stable will only be allowed if the owners physically live on the Bar-K Ranch.
You are required to feed and water/break ice at least once a day for your horse(s); if you are sharing with the group, you will maintain your agreed upon tasks.
You are required to clean your run and stall set-up daily.
Manure will be deposited on the compost pile.
Use of the stables for profit/barter exchange (lessons, training outside horses, etc.) is not permitted.
Parking of vehicles/trailers/equipment only as approved by the board of directors.
A brand inspection certificate for each horse must be on file with the board of directors.
GUIDELINES
If your horse breaks it, please fix it.
Return borrowed tools in a timely manner and in good repair.
Keep the tool room and tack room tidy.
