Bar-K  Association Website

This is the official website of the Bar-K Association in unincorporated Boulder County USA.  This website is used for official communications between the Board of Directors and members of the Association.  Please refer to this site for accurate information regarding governance of the Bar-K Common Lands.

Regular Meeting Changes

We are outgrowing the physical space for Regular Meetings. Future meetings will be accessible with a Zoom link for members who wish to observe the regular meeting.  If you are on the distribution list, you will get an email with instructions.  Remember, if you have a concern that you want to address, email Jack Kutscher or call (303-459-3568) at least 7 days in advance to be added to the agenda for the meeting. We are limiting the community input to 3 people per meeting (5 minutes each).  This new format will allow the Board to conduct regular meetings efficiently, while creating a venue for members to observe meetings. We hope you find this new format useful and we look forward to your participation.

Presidents Letter

To the Members of the Bar-K Association,

Along with our regular meetings, planning, maintenance and capital expense projects this year, the Board is also updating the bylaws. New information pertinent to the Association including any corrections or updates will be posted to the website.  All new wording will be available on the website for your inspection prior to a final vote at the Members Meeting in August.  All proposed changes will be highlighted in red.  All posts with changes worded in green on the website have been accepted by the Board of Directors and are in effect immediately. (Article 15 of the bylaws) We will ask for your support and vote for all changes at the Annual Meeting.

The BoD's will appoint a committee to oversee all Common lands and Association assets.(9.2a The Common Range Management Committee)   A new committee (9.2b Stable Committee) will have separate defined responsibilities from the CRM committee.  Both the CRM  and the Stable Committee will add additional oversight to protect our Common lands and assets. If you would like to serve as a member of the "Common Range Management" committee please contact me, or any Board member.  See the definition of this committee - Article 9.2a

We will stock both Valley and Penny lakes this year. The Lake Committee will be working to eradicate all the weeds possible at Rock Lake.  Controlling the growth of Milfoil at Rock Lake will determine if any trout can be stocked next year. The Board of Directors have made the health of Rock Lake a priority.

Thank You for your continued support,

Jack
