IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Remember, dogs need to be on a leash or under strict voice control in pastures. Please prepare for encountering other people and dogs on the common lands. Be a good neighbor and pick up after your dog especially around the lakes.
The lakes are stocked with trout every spring. Decisions for the location and quantity of fish is based on the Association budget, and the condition of the lakes. If drought conditons exist or aquatic vegatation overgrowth is present, we may not stock a specific body of water. The Association evaluates lake conditions annually and sets limits for each body of water. Please read lake postings to understand the lake rules as they change seasonally.
Remember that due to insurance reasons, we no longer can allow swimming or diving in any of the lakes in the Association.
You may notice new signs on all the pastures regarding equine activities:
Under Colorado Law, an equine activity sponsor or professional shall not be liable for any injury to, or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities , pursuant to section 13-21-119, Colorado Revised Statutes.
This statute allows the Bar-K to sponsor horse activity on the Bar-K common lands. Be aware that horses may occupy the pastures on common land while people are recreating. Give them respect and distance and always have your dogs under control.
Thank You!!!!
